DESIGN LAB · A LICENSING PROGRAM FOR ARCHITECTS AND DESIGNERS

The site furnishings you've already designed finally produced under your name.

A licensing partnership for architects, landscape architects, and interior, hospitality, and industrial designers. You author the piece. We carry it to market and pay royalties on every unit shipped.

What you walk away with.

A licensing arrangement, not a service contract.

Authorship

Designer attribution remains integrated across specification sheets, catalog placements, installed projects, and QR-linked profile systems associated with the product.

Royalty

A per-unit royalty on Licensed Product and Signature Collection paths. Paid quarterly. Reported in writing. Audit rights as agreed in the license.

Commercial Specification Reach

Products are positioned through established specification and sales channels spanning hospitality, civic, commercial, campus, multifamily, and landscape markets throughout North America.

Integrated Commercialization

PDW coordinates engineering, prototyping, tooling, manufacturing, technical documentation, specification integration, and commercial rollout through a vertically integrated process

You've designed it before.

Design concepts move through the industry every day.
A bench detail becomes a product line.
A planter evolves into a catalog standard.
A custom site furnishing reappears across projects and markets.
Often without attribution, visibility, or long-term participation.
The work was always design work.

Authors in the program.

Design Lab is curated. The Designers Directory below is the public face of the cohort or the firms and individuals whose work is currently licensed, in development, or under signature.

Submission Received

Thank you for your submission. Our team will review your concept and contact you if it aligns with our manufacturing capabilities.

The Three Pathways

Three relationships, three lengths.

From a single fabricated piece to a multi-year signature collection. Each tier carries authorship, attribution, and the appropriate licensing structure.

SINGLE PROJECT

Custom Fabrication

Built to your specification, on your project, on your timeline.

We engineer, fabricate, and finish in-house concrete, GFRC, fiberglass, metal, powder coat, galvanizing, metalizing, and deliver with the submittal documentation a project requires.
Best for a single-project piece you need produced once, to spec.

LICENSED

Licensed Product Design

Authored once. Specified everywhere.

We engineer your concept into a spec-ready product, place it in the catalog, distribute it through our specification rep network, and pay you a per-unit royalty against every piece shipped quarterly, in writing, for the term of the license. Best for a piece you've drawn into multiple projects and would license under your name.

SIGNATURE

Signature Collection

A multi-piece, named line, under your firm's authorship.

Reserved for firms whose body of work supports a coherent collection. We engineer, manufacture, position, and market the line as a designated authorship released, cataloged, and specified as such, with full documentation, photography, and long-term product support.
Best for: firms ready to develop a named collection over a multi-year horizon.

The Development Arc.

1

Confidential Review.

Upload your concept for private review by the PDW engineering and licensing teams. We evaluate producibility, specification potential, category fit, and commercialization opportunities, then outline recommended licensing terms and next-step development opportunities.

2

Development.

PDW oversees engineering coordination, prototyping, finish sampling, and production refinement through a vertically integrated fabrication process. Concrete, GFRC, fiberglass, metal works, sandblasting, powder coating, and metalizing are handled internally to maintain quality, consistency, and specification control.

3

Authorship & Royalty.

Qualified products receive ongoing designer attribution across specification materials, digital catalogs, and QR-linked profile integration tied directly to installed projects. Licensed and Signature Collection products participate in structured royalty programs with transparent quarterly reporting.

4

Launch & Reporting

PDW manages product launch integration through specification sheets, CAD/Revit/BIM assets, photography, catalog placement, and designer profile development. Internal specification and sales teams are briefed for market rollout, while royalty reporting is issued quarterly in accordance with licensing agreements.

Capability Stack

Integrated fabrication infrastructure.

Concrete · GFRC · Fiberglass · Metal fabrication · Powder coating · Sandblasting · Galvanizing · Metalizing

A coordinated manufacturing ecosystem supporting engineering, finish development, specification readiness, and commercial-scale production.

Why Now

Specification is consolidating.
Authorship is becoming scalable.

The market is shifting toward manufacturers with stronger specification infrastructure, engineering support, and channel reach. Licensed design programs have already reshaped adjacent industries, yet architecture and landscape architecture remain early in that transition.
Design Lab was created to provide a structured path between concept development, specification integration, and long-term commercialization

Why Designers Partner With PDW

Owned, not subcontracted. Concrete, GFRC, fiberglass, metal, finishing — all in-house.

Spec-ready from the first prototype. CAD, Revit, BIM, submittals, certification.

A specification rep network already in landscape, hospitality, civic, and commercial channels.

Authored attribution and per-unit royalties, paid quarterly, on every Licensed and Signature piece.

Designed for concepts intended to move beyond the studio.

Confidential review, selective onboarding, and commercialization support through the Pure design Lab Design Lab platform.
