Why Catch Basins

Catch basins act as the first point of entry in a stormwater system—collecting runoff through a surface grate while trapping debris before it enters the pipe network. This helps reduce clogging, improves flow efficiency, and protects downstream infrastructure.

System Components

  • Precast base for structural integrity
  • Riser sections to achieve required depth
  • Top section with grate interface
  • Knock-outs / block-outs for pipe connections
  • Customizable configurations to meet site requirements

How It Works

During rainfall, water flows through the grate into the basin below. Sediment settles at the base while cleaner water exits through connected piping, moving via gravity through the drainage system. Multiple basins can be linked to create a comprehensive runoff network.
